Prints

I bought these from artandghosts.etsy.com on etsy. I love this woman's work... she's out of Manchester, England. I bought the second two and she sent the first two as a thank you! Wonderful!

I seem to be incapable of putting down a canvas lately.

The World Rests

Here is a new original artwork I finished this afternoon. Taken from a poem I wrote a while ago, it's made from paper clay, natural wool (thank you for it, Karin), pine needles, and acrylic paint on canvas.

The Sunday After

Here is a little statue I finished today. For some insane reaswon, I can't get a clear photo with my camera. Therefor, I have begun using the camera as a hammer. Much more useful.
She's a little less than 5" tall and is made from paper clay and paper mache (dress and bow). It's hard to see the texture in these photos.
I was inspired by a wonderful Patty Griffin song and little Miss Mia.

Sunday after
There was laughter in the air
Everybody had a kite
They were flying everywhere
And all the trouble went away
And it wasn't just a dream
All the trouble went away
And it wasn't just a dream

Something Useful

My sister posted this button on her blog and I love this site. She has a huge headstart on food storage, and I'm a beginner, but...

I've been watching the History/Discovery/Natural Geographic chanel too much and have become slightly concerned about asteroids/super volcanos/pandemics/famine/roving marauders/very large-very small insects/gamma ray blasts/plate techtonics/global warming/the Incan Calender ending in 2012/the North Atlanitc Conveyer/ and black holes.
Here is a little way of making myself a little less freaked out about extinction level events:
